Laura Felipe, the founder of Tutor Zone and Horizon Academy, is a passionate educator, businesswoman, and proud mother of three amazing daughters. With a deep-rooted belief in the power of personalized education, Laura created Tutor Zone to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families in her community.

Laura earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Following her academic journey in business, she pursued her passion for teaching by obtaining her Florida teaching certificates, equipping her with the skills to lead both in the classroom and as an educational entrepreneur.

As a mother and educator, Laura has seen firsthand the challenges students face in traditional learning environments. Her mission has always been clear: empower students through personalized, one-on-one support that builds confidence and essential learning skills. Each day, she is driven by the belief that with the right guidance, every student can thrive.
